Welcome! This new website for Hartsel Community Library is still under construction.

The Hartsel Community Library, under the name Hartsel Library Friends, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since its inception and even today it is managed entirely by volunteers. Revenue for the library comes from Hartsel Library Friends memberships, City Market Cares program, book sales, bake sales, special events, and generous cash donations from folks who love reading and sharing books.
The first Monday of each month we invite you to come meet with us at 11 a.m. in the library for discussion and dessert.
Each month we have a genre selected and everyone can choose a book or author for that genre and give a brief report.

April book to read - Book that was made into movie
May book to read - Biography
June book to read - Classics
July book to read - Humor
August book to read - Fantasy/Science Fiction
September book to read - True Crime
October book to read - Action & Adventure
November book to read -Pick a book that has personal significance or favorite author
December a book kit book will be chosen for all of us to read the same title
The library had a HUGE supply of used books - paperbacks and hardbacks.
Come to the "back room" and check out our selections. You can't beat the price:

Hardbacks 50 cents - 3/$1

Come by and see what we do to creatively repurpose our used books. They are for sale or donation to our scholarship fund/
We are more than just a library. We are a community hub offering a variety of resources and services. Our collection includes books & DVDs. We offer free Wi-Fi, public computers, and printing services.
WINTER HOURS ARE : FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS , SUNDAYS 1-4 p.m. SEPTEMBER - JUNE weather permitting.
