The Hartsel Community Library, under the name Hartsel Library Friends, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since its inception and even today it is managed entirely by volunteers.  Revenue for the library comes from Hartsel Library Friends memberships, City Market Cares program, book sales, bake sales, special events, and generous cash donations from folks who love reading and sharing books.

About Hartsel Community Library

Our History

Our library is known for its presence on Hartsel Days, especially with our

Book and Bake sale. The tent covers literally hundreds of books: hard

backs, paperbacks, children's books, cookbooks, coffee table books and

vintage books. Included in the mix are jigsaw puzzles, DVD’s, arts and

crafts and a freezer full of popsicles, ice cream sandwiches, and other

novelties. Visit us this year on August 2nd and 3rd !
